*The exclusive exploration rights to the Peacock Project are currently being acquired pursuant to an asset purchase agreement with Agnico Eagle, dated March 4, 2026, under which Vior Mining Corporation will acquire a 100% interest. Closing is expected to occur in the first quarter of 2027.
The Ligneris Project is located approximately 50 km northwest of the town of Amos. Vior Gold Corporation has recently consolidated and expanded the project by acquiring 205 exclusive exploration rights (EER) through map designation. Pursuant to an asset purchase agreement dated March 4, 2026, Vior Gold Corporation acquired the Peacock Project, consisting of two blocks totaling 456 EER, located respectively to the north and northeast of the Ligneris Project. As a result of the asset purchase agreement and the newly acquired EER (205) through map designation, the Ligneris Project now comprises a total of 953 EER. The property now extends over more than 30 km from east to west, encompassing a package of Abitibi volcano-sedimentary rocks and major regional faults prospective for gold and base metals. To the east, it adjoins the Sleeping Giant mine property (owned by Abcourt Mines). The felsic-intermediate volcanic sequence covered by Ligneris is contemporaneous with that of the Normétal volcanic center, located approximately 60 km to the west and host to significant gold and base metal deposits (Perron, Normétal).
Geology and Mineralization
The felsic-intermediate volcanic center of the Rivière Octave Formation forms the core of the project, where the most significant mineralized showings are located (Central and South Zones). It is dissected by the regional anastomosed Laflamme deformation corridor, which also marks the northern contact with the sedimentary basin of the Glandelet Formation, composed mainly of wacke and mudrock. Both the Ligneris and Peacock properties extend further north into basalt and andesite sequences of the Vanier-Dalet-Poirier Group and the Valrennes Formation, while also reaching the margin of the Mistaouac pluton (tonalite). The sheared felsic-intermediate volcanic rocks, predominantly of volcaniclastic or brecciated facies, host finely disseminated pyrite mineralization, locally concentrated in veinlets or stockworks and more rarely in thin semi-massive sections. Sphalerite, chalcopyrite, and galena are also present in the Central Zone. A significant alteration envelope on a kilometer scale surrounds both prospects, characterized by sericite, chlorite, fuchsite, and ankerite-chloritoid (Central Zone only).
Exploration History
In 1984, Vior Gold Corporation undertook significant exploration work on the project, including geophysical surveys, geological studies, and drilling. Exploration initially focused on volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization until 1985, when mesothermal (orogenic) gold became the primary target. In 1985, an agreement was entered into between the Company and Mines Sigma Québec Ltd. (Placer Dome Inc.) to continue exploration work on the project, with Sigma acting as operator.
Up to 1997, Placer Dome drilled more than 30,000 metres, leading to the discovery of the North, Central, and South zones. The best historical intersections include: 537.91 g/t Au over 1.8 metres (DDH 275‑037) and 70.0 g/t Au over 0.6 metres (DDH 275‑27B) in the North Zone (SIGEOM source: GM44211); 0.91 g/t Au over 24.0 metres including 5.72 g/t Au over 3.1 metres (DDH 275‑053, SIGEOM: GM45463) and 4.92 g/t Au over 5.4 metres (DDH L‑84‑4, SIGEOM: GM41991) in the Central Zone; and 5.15 g/t Au over 5.9 metres (DDH LS‑05, SIGEOM: GM41991) as well as 16.84 g/t Au over 8.0 metres including 39.15 g/t Au over 3.0 meters (DDH 275‑073, SIGEOM: GM45463) in the South Zone.
On June 26, 2019, the Corporation and Ethos entered into an agreement whereby Ethos could earn up to a 70% interest in the project. Ethos and the Corporation completed a two-phase drilling program on the Ligneris Project during the fall of 2019 and the winter of 2020. A total of 14 drill holes totaling 8,223 metres were completed on the three main zones and regional targets. The best results from the 2019 and 2020 campaigns include: 1.2 g/t Au over 19.0 meters (LI‑19‑02), 0.19 g/t Au over 60.15 meters (LI‑19‑03), and 0.36 g/t Au over 37.4 meters (LI‑19‑04). Despite the relatively low gold grades encountered, the Ligneris Project still hosts broad anomalous gold‑mineralized envelopes more than 50 meters thick that have never been fully tested.
On April 27, 2021, Ethos and the Corporation entered into a termination and release agreement whereby Ethos agreed to relinquish all its rights under the option agreement dated June 26, 2019, on the Ligneris Project, Abitibi, Québec. The Corporation retains a 100% interest in the project.
Recent Work Completed by Vior Gold Corporation
During the fall of 2025, Vior Gold Corporation completed an airborne magnetic‑VLF survey over the 205 mining claims staked during the summer of 2025. A 20,000‑metre drilling program is currently underway and is expected to continue through the end of the second quarter of 2026.
